JAMES HICKS (1886 - 1936, a cabinet maker, was extremely skilled at producing furniture in 18th Century styles. He trained in the cabinet making workshops on Tottenham Court Toad in London.
On his return he set up business in 1893 at 5 Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin.
He established what was to become one of Dublin’s leading cabinet firms with a client list that included Princess Victoria, the Crown Princess of Sweden , and King Edward VII making fine veneered & inlaid furniture mostly by commission.
I have been established as a dealer and antique furniture restorer for almost 20 years.
I have a real love and passion of fine 18th and early 19th century furniture.
As a professional restorer I am always searching for the finest quality and original items but should any restoration be nessesary it will be sympathetically and skilfully carried out in house by myself.
