A fine William IV mahogany x framed stool.
A well carved & attractive shaped stool with a beautiful period tapestry seat depicting a farmer taking his sheep to market assisted by Rottweiler dogs.
The tapestry still showing beautiful strong unfaded colours.
Rottweilers were originally bred to drive cattle to market. Later they were used to pull carts for butchers. They were among the earliest police dogs and served with honor in the military.
