A superb George III mahogany & tulipwood banded bowfront dressing chest.This wonderful chest constructed in well figured mahogany with tulipwood crossbanding with fine boxwood & ebony stringing to the top, drawer fronts, interior compartments & frieze.
The mahogany lined top drawer opening to reveal a sliding & adjustable original baize lined writing surface concealing an arrangement of lidded compartments decorated with tulipwood banding with fine ebony & boxwood stringing & original axe head Gilt handles.
The sliding & adjustable mirror with original plate & tulipwood banded frame.
The graduated drawers with fine oak lining.
The chest with a wonderful bowfront & elegant splayed feet.
